The association originated on February 9 2006, after several months of preparation. The registration was formally accepted on that date and became almost immediately a member of the "Fédération des familles souches du Québec."

We have installed in 2008 a commemorative plate at Château-Richer, place where he lived and where he is buried. MARIN is the majority of the BOUCHER’s ancestor.

Also we have installed in 2010 a commemorative plate in the city-hall of St-Langis-lès-Mortagne, in France, place from where he starded to come in America.

BOUCHER (Marin)
He was born in 1589 in Saint-Langis-de-Mortagne, au Perche (France), on February 7th 1611, in the same Parish, he married Julienne BARIL. From this union, were born seven children: Nicole, Jean, Louise, François, Etiennette, Charlotte and Marie. Julienne Baril died before Marin BOUCHER set out for Canada. Of the seven children, only François survived and came to Nouvelle-France. In 1629, Marin BOUCHER married Perrine Mallet. She bore 2 children. In early June 1634, Marin BOUCHER, Perrine MALLET and their 3 children (Louis-Marin (4 years old), Jean-Galleran, (1 year old) and François (16 years old) landed in Québec City. Upon his arrival, Marin BOUCHER established himself on the shores of the Saint-Charles River.
He is the ancestor of the majority of Boucher families.

BOUCHER (Gaspard)
Son of the carpenter Jacques Boucher and Francoise Paigné, he was born about 1599 in the parish Notre-Dame from Mortagne-au-Perche, France. On December 12th of 1619, he married Nicole Lemaire.She had been christened in the church of Notre Dame de Mamers, on March 10th, 1595. The couple raised eight children. Like his father, Gaspard was a carpenter. The family emigrated to Nouvelle-France around 1635 and established itself in the "Seigneurie de Beauport" where they collaborated with Robert Giffard. During the first ten years of his stay in Nouvelle-France, Gaspard was a farmer for the Jesuit Order in Beauport. In 1644, he was granted land in Trois-Rivières, probably given by the Governor Charles Huault de Montmagny. The Gaspard BOUCHER family rapidly set itself up on this land.

BOUCHER (Jean)
Son of Quatrin Boucher and Jeanne Denis, Jean Boucher was born about 1630, originating inSt Etienne-du-Bourg-de-Chaix , in the department of Vendée, in the district of Fontenay- Le-Comte, of the Maillezais diocese in the Poitou. In 1676, he is found to live at the "Côte-de-Beaupré", near Québec City. On November 12th of 1678, Jean Boucher marries a 16 years old girl. Marie-Madeleine Paré was born on June 16th 1622 and was the daughter of Robert Paré and Francoise Lehoux. They raised seven children.

BOUCHER (Pierre) Seigneur of BOUCHERVILLEPierre Boucher was born on August 1st, 1622 in Mortagne-au-Perche, which is today part of Normandy. He came to Canada in 1635, with his parents, Gaspard Boucher and Nicole Lemaire, his brother Nicolas and his sisters Marie and Marguerite. He was appointed Governor of Trois-Rivières in 1653, station which he resigned from in 1667, in order to establish Boucherville where he died on April 19th, 1717, at the age of 95.

BOUCHER de Grosbois (Tancrède)

Medical doctor, born in Saint-Joseph-de-Chambly (Carignan) in 1846. He was elected the provincial member of Parliament for the riding of Shefford (1888-1892 and 1897-1903). He was the nephew of Charles-Eugène Boucher of Boucherville. Tancrède Boucher died in Montreal in 1926.

BOUCHER de la Bruère (Pierre)
Born in Saint-Hyacinthe (Québec) in 1837 he became a lawyer and was appointed Conservative legislative counsel for the area of Rougemont. He sat from 1877 to 1895. Publisher of the "Courrier de St Hyacinthe" from 1875 to 1895, he was then appointed as a member of the Public Education council (1895 to 1916). He was a strong advocate of the development of the sugar beet industry in Canada. He was also a member of the Institut Canadien de Québec. He was also a descendant of Pierre Boucher de Grosbois.
Amongst his numerous publications, the better known are "Le Canada sous la domination anglaise" (1863); Le Saguenay (1880) and "Education et constitution" (1904). He died in Québec City in 1917.

BOUCHER de Boucherville (René-Antoine)
Lord and member of the Legislative Council of Lower Canada (1792-1812). He was the father of Pierre-Amable Boucher de Boucherville and grand-father of Charles-Eugène Boucher de Boucherville.

BOUCHER de Boucherville (Pierre-Amable)

Lord and member of the legislative council of United Canada (1843-1857). Son of René-Antoine Boucher de Boucherville and father of Charles-Eugène Boucher de Boucherville.

BOUCHER de Boucherville (Charles-Eugène)
Born in Montreal in 1822, he became a medical practitionner. He later became the Third Premier of Québec (1874-1878) and Tenth Premier of Québec (1891-1892). He was elected member of Parliament for Chambly at the Parliament of United Canada from 1861 to 1867. He was Leader of the Conservative party in the Province of Québec from 1874 to 1879.
He died in office in Montreal on September 10th, 1915 at the age of 93 years and 4 months. He is interred in the crypt of the church of Sainte-Famille in Boucherville (Réf.: Official site of the Government of Québec http://www.assnat.qc.ca/.

BOUCHER de Niverville (Louis-Charles)Born in Trois-Rivières (Québec) in 1825, he became a lawyer. He was elected member of Parliament for the riding of Trois-Rivières at the Parliament of the United Canada from 1865 to 1867. He was then elected Conservative MP at the Legislative Assembly and the House of Commons (1867-1868). He died in Trois-Rivières in 1869.

BOUCHER (William-Albert)Born in 1889 in Saint-Louis, Territories of the North-West, elected deputy the House of Commons in 1948, appointed senator in 1957, he died in 1976.
BOUCHER (J.Gaspard) Born in Notre Dame du Portage, in 1897, he became printer and publisher. He was elected MP to the House of Commons for the riding of Restigouche-Madawaska (New Brunswick) from 1953 to 1957.

BOUCHER (Émile)Born in Montreal in 1903, he became a lawyer and Liberal provincial member of parliament for the riding of Saint-Henri from 1939 to 1944. He was later appointed to the Welfare Court from 1961 to 1968. He died in Montréal in 1968.

BOUCHER (Jean)Born in Laprairie (Québec) in 1926 he was a sociologist and political analyst. He was elected twice Liberal member of Parliament for the riding of Chateauguay-Huntingdon-Laprairie (From 1953 to 1957 and 1962-1963)
BOUCHER (Aimé)Notary public. Liberal Member of Parliament at the House of Commons for the the riding of Yamaska from 1921 to 1935. He was the son-in-law of Jules Allard. Father-in-law of Kenneth Charles Mackay.
BOUCHER Bacon (Huguette)Born in Montreal in 1947, she became an educationalist, a jurist and a sociologist. She was elected member of the Legislative Assembly for the riding of Bourget in 1989. She was President of the "Association des propriétaires de garderies du Québec" from 1977 to 1981.
BOUCHER (Jules)Born in Sayabec, Québec in 1933, he was elected member of the Parti Québécois in 1976 at the Legislative Assembly of Québec and sat till 1985. He then became an independent Member for the riding of Rivière du Loup (1985).
BOUCHER (Claude)
Former member of the Legislative Assembly of the Johnson riding, he represented the Parti Québécois. He was the official opposition spokesman regarding Highways and Roads. He was elected in September 1994. He is a member of our Association.

BOUCHER (François)
Painter, skilled artist, prolific and talented aquafortist, he created porcelain settings, tapestries as well as theatrical sets. His work established the trend for the French rococo painting from the start to mid 18th Century. He painted graceful pastoral and mythological scenes. He later developed more sensuous works, describing an idyllic world. His style fell from favour with the arrival of neo-classicism.

BOUCHER (Frank) Prolific hockey player with the National League from 1921 to 1944. He played with the Ottawa Senators and the New-York Rangers. He won the Lady Byng Trophy in 1928, 1929, 1930, 1931, 1933, 1934 and 1935. In regular seasons he participated in 557 games, accumulated 161 goals and 262 assists. BOUCHER (Gaétan)He was born in Charlesbourg in 1958 to later become a speedskater. He won the Silver Medal at the Lake Placid Winter Olympics in 1980. He won the Gold medal for the 1000 meter, 1500 meter and 500 meter races at the Sarajevo Olympics in 1984. He was appointed to the Order of Canada in 1983 and became an Officer of the Order in 1984. He was elected to the Canada Sports Hall of Fame, in 1984 and elected to the Québec Sports Hall of Fame in 1991.

Leblanc-BOUCHER (Anouk)
Born in 1984 in Prévost, in the Laurentian Foothills, she started her speed skating career at the age of 9. At the age of 13, she was already boarding in Montreal to allow her to pursue her secondary school studies in a sports study program. BOUCHER (Georges dit Buck) Hockey player in the National League from 1917 to 1932 with the Ottawa Senators, the Montréal Maroons and the Chicago Black Hawks. In regular seasons, he played 457 games scored 122 goals and assisted on 501 goals. He was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1960. BOUCHER (Jacques)He is widely considered to be one of the key players in the Canadian organ world. A musician and broadcaster, he has produced over 1,500 radio recitals with more than a hundred Québec organists. He has also directed over two hundred recordings, including the collection Les orgues anciens du Québec, which won the Grand prix du disque - Canada. As an artistic director, he has also designed several thematic series devoted not only to organ music, but also to chamber music composed by French organists.
As a performer, Jacques Boucher has made several recordings featuring symphonic works for organ, reflecting his active performing career. He has given concerts in most of the major cathedrals and churches in Québec, and also in Canada, in Equator, in Bermuda, in Mexico, in Slovakia and the United States. In France, he has performed on the cathedral organs in Angers, Auxerre, Bordeaux, Bourges, Chartres, Laon, Le Mans, Lyon, Macon, Montpellier, Saint-Omer, Saint-Quentin, Valence and Versailles, and in Paris at the Madeleine Church, Saint-Augustin, Saint-Germain des Prés and Saint Denis Basilica.

BOUCHER (Donovan "Butch")Canadian "Welterweight" boxer ,he was born in 1961

BOUCHER (Denis)Denis played in the professional leagues from 1987 to 1997 with the Toronto Blue Jays, the Cleveland Indians, the Colorado Rockies, the San Diego Padres and the Montreal Expos. He was part of the Blue Jays Minor League All star team in 1988 and 1990. He pitched his first game for the Montreal Expos in Montreal, on September 6th, 1993 against the Colorado Rockies. Over 40,000 spectators crammed the Olympic Stadium.

BOUCHER (Philippe)He started his hockey career in the Québec Major junior hockey league, with the Granby Bisons, in 1990. The Buffalo Sabres picked him as their first choice in 1991 but he only started to play in the regular season of 1992-93. He was traded to the Los Angeles Kings during the 1994-95 season and was further traded to the Dallas Stars, in 2002.
